The Franca Lab, a dynamic team within the Division of Biomaterials and Biomedical Sciences at the School of Dentistry, affiliated with the Knight Cancer Precision Biofabrication Hub, is seeking a motivated and skilled post-doctoral scholar to join our team.
At the Franca Lab, we study the interactions between early-stage head and neck cancers, the extracellular matrix, vasculature, and the immune system using 3D cell culture, microfluidic devices, and tissue engineering techniques.
We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher with a solid track record of publications and hands-on experience in microfluidics, organs-on-a-chip, cell culture, and cancer biology. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, Dentistry, or a related field, with the ability to manage multiple projects and independently plan, execute, and analyze experiments. Expertise in computational biology and the analysis of gene datasets is a plus.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the principal investigator, co-supervise graduate students, and collaborate with the research team at the Knight Cancer Precision Biofabrication Hub. Additionally, you will receive close mentoring to support your career development, with opportunities for networking, skill-building, and guidance in pursuing future academic or industry positions.
