The Department of Behavioral Neuroscience and the PI of the lab are committed to ensure that graduate students, post-docs, and research staff are treated with dignity and respect and understand that diversity creates an environment conducive to the development of excellence in research and novel ideas

Function/Duties of Position

A Post Doctoral Research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Marina Guizzetti, Department of Behavioral Neuroscience.

The main research interest of Dr. Guizzetti’s laboratory is the identification of novel mechanisms of astrocyte-neuron interactions involved in neuronal plasticity in the developing and adult brain. Key responsibilities include:

  • Bench lab work relevant to assigned projects
  • Preparation of manuscripts
  • Assisting with preparation of funding proposals

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in related field
  • Strong scientific and technical background in molecular and cellular biology
